I work as a climate expert at the Policy Unit at the Swedish Forest Agency and I am an adjunct lecturer at the Department of Forest and Wood Technology at LNU for part of my time. My work at the Swedish Forest Agency includes preparing information required by government assignments on issues relating to climate and forests, as well as conflicts and synergies with other environmental objectives. My work often focuses on understanding and describing the effects of climate and forestry on forest ecosystems and on the ecosystem services provided by forests.
Teaching
I contribute with lectures on various courses, by helping organizing excursions, and by supporting students to write their thesis as assistant supervisor. I can also help you get in touch with other experts at the Swedish Forest Agency.
Research
My interest lies in analyzing various processes in forest ecosystems in order to better describe the many functions of forests for societies and the environment. My work often focuses on understanding and describing the effects of environmental changes on forest ecosystems and on the ecosystem services that forests provide. I believe this can best be achieved through a combination of different methods, including models, measurements, geodata, and remote sensing.
Commissions
My task is to help build up the partnership between Linnaeus University and the Swedish Forest Agency by making it easier for the university and the agency to connect both concerning education and research.
